Supacrete Concrete Limited. In the recent Westpac Business Awards, they dominated – winning 3 categories:
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Back in 2006 with the Tauranga area continually growing, Don saw the need for a new concrete plant for Tauranga. Not willing to compromise the design of the new plant, Don used team of local professionals to design and build the new plant at 23 Maleme Street. The new concrete plant is the 3rd largest plant in New Zealand. Don also has had enquiries from the US to buy the software Supacrete developed to run this impressive new plant.
ACC Workplace of the Year
The judges recognised Dons commitment to health and safety, especially in regard to preventative measures implemented at the new plant.
Manufacturing and Distribution
Supacrete has a market share of around 33% of the Tauranga market, a great achievement! Don has a commitment to maintaining a reliable fleet of vehicles and is continually maintaining them. After 22 years in business Don is proud that his first truck is still on the road!
We congratulate Don Mahoney and his team at Supacrete for this Supa effort!.

September 2010
Bill Webb Contracting who at the Te Puke Business Awards in August won not only the Horticultural, Industrial and Agricultural Award, but also the Supreme Award.
The judges noted Bill and Vicki Webb’s commitment to the agricultural industry, their business and the Te Puke area. The judges had analysed every aspect of their operation from customer service to financial planning, staff management and health and safety.
The awards were well deserved and are the result of years of hard work, planning and vision.
As a plug for us of course, we have been working with Bill since 1986 and are proud to have had an input into the growth and development of Bill’s business.
Gerard and Barbara Martin of Kings Seeds who recently moved into a brand new purpose built building in Katikati. Gerard and Barbara took over this mail order operation in 1999 and have made it a real success. Having operated from a shed at their home since 1999 they now have some privacy, as well as a great environment to work in.
Bay Office Products who after 8 years in their premises on Elizabeth Street have moved into much bigger space in Christopher Street – quite visible across the McDonalds carpark from our offices. As the new building is a resplendent bright orange, we are advising our clients to put on their sunglasses when they walk out of our front door.
A great step forward though for Colin, Jo and Brett and a launching pad for the next phase of their operation. An easy reach for all of your stationery and other office requirements.
Daryl of Bay Bathroom Design who has moved from Courtney Rd into new, larger premises at 9 Amber Crescent, Judea. Daryl now has a great space to be able to show customers examples of the great bathroom designs they have and how they can renovate existing bathrooms to add real value to your home.
Dave and Lisa Wilson of Zenith Entertainment who produced and directed Spamalot, the Monty Python musical on recently at Baycourt. What a great show with an abundance of high quality local talent on display. Watch out for any future shows Dave and Lisa put on as they are always hugely entertaining.
To US, the winners of the annual Professional Investment Services Accountant of the Year award presented at the recent annual conference. The award is in recognition of our efforts toward ensuring a complete duty of care to our clients encompassing all aspects of accountancy services. Well deserved too – even if we do have to say so ourselves! |
